
​​​John Reavey is a LGBTQ+ filmmaker from rural Ireland, whose work sits at the intersection of sport, culture, and digital storytelling.
A former full-time director for the English Premier League’s branded content team, he has collaborated with some of the world’s biggest athletes, including Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, Lewis Hamilton, Son Heung-Min, and Isco.
Reavey was shortlisted for Best New Director at the 2025 Young Arrow Awards and won Best New Irish Director at the 2025 Kinsale Shark Awards. A BAFTA Connect member, his work includes an Umbro x West Ham kit launch that earned a British Arrow, Manchester City’s Dickov’s Dream (Shinylist), and a COPA90 documentary that headlined Sky TV for Pride Month.
In the digital space, he previously worked closely with creators Niko Omilana and WillNE and now develops viral formats and branded content with leading online talent.
In narrative film, his debut short Reavey Brothers (2022) explored the murder of his three uncles, selling out 20 screenings across the UK and Ireland. A feature adaptation is currently in development.
An experienced self-shooter and editor, Reavey is driven by uncovering powerful, un-told stories.
